League Information

NORTH CAROLINA POLICE COMBAT PISTOL LEAGUE

 The  goal of the NCPCPL is to promote firearms training and comradery for the average Law Enforcement Officer through fair competition.  The League is adopting many of the NRA PPC rules with some exceptions.  The League belongs to it's members and changes can be made through participation of League members and voting on changes. 

BASIC REQUIRMENTS FOR LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP

**You MUST fall in one of the below categories**

1.  Sworn, full-time, part-time, or reserve LEO.

2.  Retired LEO

3.  Active N.C. LEO Firearms Instructor

4.  Active Military

COSTS

 2025 LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP FEE     $25.00


1.  Duty Match               League Member     $5.00          Non-Member     $10.00

2.  Off Duty Match      League Member     $5.00          Non- Member     $10.00

3.  Carbine Match        League Member     $5.00          Non-Member      $10.00

4.  Shotgun Match        League Member     $5.00          Non-Member      $10.00

****The Duty Match is required for the Team / Individual end of season awards.  Separate awards will also be given for those that choose to compete in the Off Duty, Carbine, and Shotgun Matches.  League Membership is required for the Team Matches and the ability to vote in League matters.****

INDIVIDUAL COMPETITIONS

 Broken Down Into Classifications and Divisions

  • Classifications:  Classified, Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, Master, and High Master
  • Divisions:  Optics and Iron Sights
  • Competitors must shoot in at least (4) four of the (8) eight Duty Matches to be eligible for end of season awards in their Classification / Division
  • Classifications are determined by the competitors best (4) for matches using the NRA PPC Formula.
  • Classifications only apply to the DUTY MATCH

NRA PPC CLASSIFICATIONS

  1. High Master:       99.0 - 100
  2. Master:                   98.1 - 98.9
  3. Expert:                    96.8 - 98.0
  4. Sharpshooter:    93.7 - 96.7
  5. Marksman:          90.1 - 93.6
  6. Classified:            90.0 and Below

FOUR and TWO MAN TEAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a sworn full time LEO
  • Must all be from the same agency
  • Must all be League Members
  • An agency can have as many four-man teams as they want but are only allowed (1) two-man team.
  • Teams must compete in at least (4) four of the (8) eight matches for end of season awards.
  • Teams and an alternate for the season must be declared prior to the team's first competition.
  • Each team is allowed (1) one alternate team member if a team member is absent from a match.
  • There will be no separation of optics and iron sights or classifications for team competitions.
  • The team's BEST (4) scores will be used for team awards at the end of the season.
